The Secret of the Light Bulb
Once upon a time, inside a tiny glass house, lived a magical little light bulb. Every night, when someone flipped the switch, it would glow brightly, filling the room with warm light.
“Why do you shine, little light bulb?” asked a curious boy.
The little light bulb winked and smiled. "Well, that's a little secret," it giggled. "Inside me, there are lots and lots of tiny sprites. They love to dance! Whenever I get a signal to turn on, they join hands and start dancing in a big circle. The faster they dance, the brighter I shine! It's like when you rub your hands together really fast, they get warm."
The boy's eyes widened. "Sprites dancing? What do they look like?"
"Oh, they're all different," the light bulb replied. "Some are like twinkling stars, others are like colorful bubbles, and some are like bouncy bunnies!"
"Wow, that's so cool!" the boy exclaimed.
"But the sprites get really hot when they dance, so I need a glass cover to protect them," the light bulb explained. "Otherwise, they would get tired."
"Oh, I see!" the boy said, nodding.
From then on, whenever the boy saw the light turn on, he would think of the tiny sprites dancing inside, and his heart would fill with joy.
What do you think would happen if the little sprites stopped dancing?" the boy asked. "If they stopped dancing, I would go dark!" the light bulb replied.
